Jaguars center Brad Meester runs on to the field during player introductions.
Another week, another trip to an NFL stadium. This time back up to Jacksonville to shoot the visiting Houston Texans playing the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jags have become a playoff contender of late, as they improved to 7-5 behind a 23-18 win over the Texans. The Jags seem to be one of the surprises of the 2009 NFL season, mainly because of their lackluster last-place finish a season ago with a 5-11 record, a new defensive coordinator and a young team.
All that aside, it’s still the NFL, it’s still football, which means I’m shooting with Nikon D3 cameras along with a Nikon 600 f:4, Nikon 70-200 f:2.8, and a Nikon 17-35 f: 2.8.
Here are some of my favorites from the game:
Jaguars quarterback David Garrard (9) is sacked by Houston Texans defensive ends Antonio Smith, Mario Williams and Connor Barwin.
Jaguars tight end Zach Miller celebrates a field goal that gave the Jags a 3-0 lead.
Texans coach Gary Kubiak looks at plays.
Texans running back Ryan Moats is tackled by Jaguars linebacker Daryl Smith.
Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson (80) is tackled by Jaguars safety Anthony Smith.
Jaguars tight end Zach Miller is up ended by Texans cornerback Jacques Reeves.
Jaguars wide receiver Nate Hughes (16) celebrates with running back Maurice Jones-Drew (32) and quarterback David Garrard (9) after his first half touchdown.
Jaguars quarterback David Garrard (9) is sacked by Texans linebacker Zac Diles (54), and defensive ends Antonio Smith (94) and Tim Jamison (96) for a saftey.
Texans quarterback Matt Schaub.
Jaguars cornerbacks Derek Cox (21) and Tyron Brackenridge (41) celebrate a sack.
