Well, I just wrapped up what I called “Doctor Season.” It’s my annual ad shoots with various doctors and then editorial shoots with others for one of my clients.
Getting into see some doctors can be a challenge, setting up time for a photo shoot can be even more challenging. But after 3 weeks and 25 different shoots, the assignment is over. I will say that after seeing 20 plus doctors offices, plus throw in several local hospitals and they do all look a like after a while. They all seem to either have off-white walls or a shade of yellow/gold. Some of the specialist are different, but the majority, is plain Jane all the way.
As always I used my Nikon D3 cameras. The lenses were either my Nikon 28-70 f:2.8 or my Nikon 70-200 f:2.8. All light was with my White-Lighting 1600 mono blocks with either a 24×36 softbox and sometimes a colored gel for effect.
The client was happy with the outcome as was I, and several of the doctors have booked me for shoots afterward. So in all it was a good three weeks.
